I didn’t grow up in a family where going to church was part of who we were. My knowledge of the Bible was pretty much limited to what I saw in movies like The Ten Commandments, or King of Kings. It wasn’t until some friends introduced me to Jesus that I really began to see things in a different light. In many ways it started with attending my first BIble study. I had no idea what they were talking about. It was a tad uncomfortable. I have never forgotten that and as a result, God has used that to shape my desire to make the Bible understandable and practical, especially for people who are not as familiar with it as they might like.
The venue doesn’t matter. It could be preaching, teaching, writing, doing blogs or podcasts, or simply having conversations with people. God’s call on my life is to share what I have learned about His Word and about Him.
My wife Barbara and I have the privilege of having raised three amazing boys who have become wonderful fathers in their own right. Currently that means there are six grandkids and lots of fun and excitement.
Being from Pittsburgh, the family pretty much bleeds black and gold for the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Living in Orlando means that Mickey and Minnie are part of the extended family, especially for the grandkids.
Oviedo City Church is our church family and a place where people are getting to know God, grow in relationship with Jesus, and going into the world to serve others.
